hombrederayo
Fine by me Paul. 6pm - 7am....as Ive never been to solstice at avebury, can anyone advise exactly what goes on, what should I bring? Just plenty of booze or anything else?
Paul ™
Had another quote through, £240 Though to be fair the guy was honest and said it was expensive and gave me some local taxi numbers too.. possibly to get 2 x 8 seaters. Ermm yeah I doubt we will get better than £10 each to be honest.. it's not that far (6.7miles) but it's middle of nowhere so that rules out public transport. darrenbha
also to be secure in the knowledge that we have something in place will be great for peace of mind

Fairies for Change
Added That list was done before you confirmed See new one below Time travel ain't my thing Definates (16) angelheaded hipster Chocky Darrenbha Dave Letorey Fairies for Change + 1 glasto_mongrel_2008 hombrederayo llcoolphil Luscious Lucy mucky_g + 1 Paul ™ rach333 shiveringsky +1 Ok I have had a price for a mini bus to pick us all up at the campsite, and take us to Avebury around 6pm and then pick us up around 7am and take us back. Cost would be £160 which seems a lot but between the 16 of us above that is confirmed, it's a £10 each which ain't too bad. I will contact another couple of places for prices, but it would seem this would be the easiest way to do it What's everyone think?

Paul ™
Think the Stone Circle but with fewer people... same kind of atmosphere etc and then for sunrise (4:43am) there is a pagan ceremony to welcome the longest day Youtube clip here It's a good idea to take with you: - a good torch - a blanket or something to sit on if it rains - a plastic bag for rubbish - drink and some snacks - a drum or similar instrument to join in the fun and then the usual kind of waterproofs and layers that you'd have for a night at the Stone Circle at Glastonbury Edited April 1, 2009 by Paul ™

glasto_mongrel_2008
I'm a pagan and observing the wheel of the year is something that is important to me, but it's much more of a spiritual than a religious thing - if it makes any sense to make that distinction edited: because I can't spell tonight
