PLACEBO ANNOUNCE MORE SUMMER FESTIVAL DATES!!

Placebo have been confirmed to play at Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park festivals, Germany, over the weekend 5-7 June 2009. Exact performance dates and times will be announced shortly. Other acts confirmed are The Killers, Slipknot and Billy Talent.

i'd be intrigued to see them again... saw them once, way back in '99 at Big Day Out... wasn't the best show ever, but hell, they were supporting Metallica and competing with some other pretty awesome bands...

They were a lot better in the 90s. They're nowhere near as good as they were back then and they barely play anything off the first two (and best) albums.

Errrrrrr............what?

I've seen them 7 times since 2003.

And on the meds tour I saw them play Come Home, Teenage Angst, 36 Degree's, Nancy Boy, Bionic, and I Know, alll from the the first album!

Besides, all their albums are awesome anyways.

Perosnally I want more songs from Black Market music next time I see them, but anything is fine relaly.

I've seen them nine times since 1998 and they were far better back then...and so were the albums. The best show was Brixton on the 'Without You I'm Nothing' tour...they've never come close to those days since.

When I saw them at Wembley Arena in 2006, they played all but one or two songs from 'Meds' and only four from the first two albums. I don't think that's anywhere near enough...and they were just the same at Reading that year.

Well Meds was fresh out, it was new album tour and they'd been tellign everyone they were gonan play loads off of Meds (i remember kerrang interviews etc where they said that) so I don't see the problem!

Especially as when I saw them in 2004 at Wembleyy the setlist was:

And then at alexnder palace in 2006 they played 4 songs from the first album, so wembley 2006 I was happy to see stuff from meds!
