Joshuwarr
Other Stage headline. Hopefully clash with Springsteen. Edited January 19, 2009 by Joshuwarr
scappaflow
Franz are awesome live. Saw them last Wed in a warm-up gig and they were up to their usual standard. Really - anyone who likes indie / rock - will never ever be disappointed seeing them. They could headline, and have the tunes, and the brash, rock arrogance to pull it off. But if we are to believe the headliners are done and dusted they will be 2nd last on. If they do the Other stage headline slot, then they really do have the potential to rip the Pyramid headliner to bits.
Joshuwarr
Rock arrogance? Don't see any sort of arrogance in them tbh. They're such a great live band, it still amazes me how such an odd bands has had such prolific mainstream success. Its brilliant.
Originalshez
Which headliners from the pyramid would they 'rip to shreds'?

Okky
They are AMAZING live. Who agrees that they would be fantastic before blur, they would get the place right hyped up TDM

Petewasbristol
Have seen them a few times, thought they were superb when they started out, but as time went on they just got....a bit I think it was the Reading headline slot that sort of gave me that view, it was one of those performances that just dragged on and on, I wanted to enjoy it....but I just couldn't!! Certainly they have nothing on the three rumoured headliners (IMO), but could see them playing high up (Second to the headliners?) or even a headline slot on the Other stage. Just my view mind
eFestivals
Franz are 100% definitely playing. Am trying to nail down which stage, tho might not have any luck on that yet.

glimmers_of_hope
I reckon FF will be the joint Headliner.
Monkismo
Don't normally like Franz but saw them at Bencassim a few years back and they were excellent. They made the Park stage last year when we were sat about waiting for Dizzy and Pete. I'm sure they could entertain me again but I'm hoping they clash with someone amazing! Rather them headlining than the bloody Kaiser Chiefs though!
darrenbha
Still imagine them headlining the other stage on the friday, have no idea why i still think that though. they could just easily play second from top on the pyramid. Joshuwarr
Between songs theres no faffing around, its just a constant experience and hit after hit. They always seem to enjoy their performances as well. I can't name a bad Franz song!
scappaflow
I think they'll be on before Blur, after Keane/Stereophonics. Other Stage headliner against Neil Young would prove counter-productive. Franz will be remembered as one of the 10 most important and popular bands of the decade, and though it's quite feasible they will lose out the race to no.1 to Bruce next week but you can be sure they won't be fading away too soon. Tugger2k
they were excellent at Latitude last year and the new stuff sounded great live. but i always forget what a complete rabble rouser Take Me Out is, what a live tune that is when the crowd are up for it. they havent dissapointed the 2 or 3 times ive seen them so would be very happy for them to play, wherever and whenever thay play the Big G.
