Whare did the Kanye West rumour come from

A lot of people seem to be pretty sure he is playing the Other Stage this year.

I'd love it to be true but it doesn't seem likely to me that he would want to do a smaller stage than Jay-Z, or that such a big act would play the Other stage.

So, where did the rumour come from?

Hmm, straight from the horses mouth then, but he only said he'd like it to happen and it was a fairly long time ago with no news since.

I'll file this one under "don't get your hopes up" for now.

i'd like to see kanye, his new album seems to have really split his fans down the middle but i think it's the best thing he's done. Plus he must be something special live, few of my mates saw him at v because there was nowt else on they wanted to see and said he was the best act of the weekend lol. Would make it ten times easier getting my mates on board if he was playing as well.

yeh i'd consider seeing him if there was nothing else on because some of my friends have said he's amazing live!

thing is, i can see him clashing with neil young or springsteen, both of which i want to see (and i'm only 17 )

he'd headline the other, surely?

Not especially a hippity hoppity fan, but heard he is awesome live and would love to check him out. If it's Saturday night though, I'm afraid the boss takes priority.

i think that with the new announcment that there will be 4 headline acts he will play the pyramid stage as a penultimate (co headline) act.

i cannot see them going to all the fuss of insisting on including hip hop acts last year to then neglect them this year they are gonna feel obligated to include at least one somewhere on the pyramid stage and Kanye is the obvious choice or god forbid Eminem, i am a hip hop fan and will swerve either of those two if they were to play.

Snoop Dogg would be amazing but he cannot get a Visa to perform in the UK so is out of the running.

JazzWorld has had the odd hip hop act, over the years. And some of them have been VERY odd ....
