Brizzle
sorry, you couldn't be more wrong. i'm from manchester. and i would never go to leeds festival cos its rammed with the kind of people you were just describing. dubstep nights on the other hand are full of fun-loving music appreciators. i will not hear a bad word said against it it is far too much fun for that
breadmanjiro
In my experience most dubstep fans are middle-class stoner wiggas who wouldn't look out of place on an episode of Skins and go on about how "dis big track is bare sick when it drops!". Harmless people but immensely irritating.
basingstokejames
benga/scream/fire dancers last year in the baseline tent thingy was immense

RealGoodNosh
Dubstep is just the new rave music craze like oold skool, jungle, acid house....blahhh Lotta people who don't get dubstep, i'll admit to being one of them a couple of years ago. But my eyes have been opened thanks to glastonbury 08 and several absolute TUNES. Now i don't turn it off! BRING IT ON FOR DANCE VILLAGE 09. along with the drum n bass!! wub wub wubbbbbbbbbbb
The-Sir
Bump. I was just wondering what Dubstep artists played 08, and who we'll expect to see this year. Just seen on the rumour page that Bridgwater Reggae Soundsystem are playing, listened to their myspace and they're actually half decent. Can we expect Rusko / Caspa / Appleblim and crew this year? Wm.!
Rusko is doing his live thing at the festivals this year. Playing Lowlands in Holland. So, a phat chance he's playing Glasto I reckon.
freehugs!
i hated dubstep at first, just sounded like some basic tunes with really heavy base..'whats all the hype about?' like what is all the point in such heavy base..? however, i have now completly changed my mind. On the right occasion, with the right people.. it is JUST what the doctor ordered i dont believe its a case of being the 'in' thing or people liking it to look 'cool'. to some people its a culture and a passion and can be a great laugh i also agree that K with dubstep is pointless.. as is K in general. mouth
just had some quality dub step going off on force fm, if your near london its 106.5 but otherwise forcefm.net
TaylorT
I reckon Dub Step could feature heavily throughout the Dance Village this year. Its not just Dub Dj`s dropping it now, all genres of dj`s are dropping it through their sets. I think its been a long time coming some sort of "New" beat or rhythm turning up and Dub really has caught peoples attention even although it has actually been around for years but only now is it seeping through from the "Undeground" as they say. I only really started to get into it about 6 months ago but i think its f**king ace and the more at Glasto the merrier !!

lsdmoto
I cant stand dubstep..dont get me wrong i LOVE my dance music..from Gabba to electro to dnb to minimal to deep house i've loved it all and still do .. I just cant get my head around this new craze. It seams like you cant go out round my way without hearing the repetitive tones of dubstep. A group of us went to see the scratch perverts a few weeks ago and in my opinion the night was completly runined by the guys playing IT the whole set ! rant over feel free to coment!! .....but you wont convert me on this one

darrenfearnley
I think wth dubstep, you've got the more popular sound of skream, benga, rusko etc, that kind of wobble ravey type thing....i think a lot of people just hear that type of thing and think that what all dubstep sounds like (i can imagine the scratch perverts playing that type of sound). Now i love the ravey stuff, but that isn't all there is to it, i think there is some deeper stuff coming out of the dubstep scene that people might like for those still unsure on it, think there's a big berlin techno and early warp records influence coming though on a lot of artists! check Pangeea - http://www.myspace.com/journeytopangaea Ramadanman - http://www.myspace.com/ramadanman Martyn - http://www.myspace.com/martyndnb 2562 - http://www.myspace.com/2562dub kode9 - http://www.myspace.com/kode9 headhunter - http://www.myspace.com/dubstepheadhunter Goth-trad - http://www.myspace.com/gothtrad appleblim - http://www.myspace.com/appleblim Komonazmuk - http://www.myspace.com/komonazmuk Gatekeeper - http://www.myspace.com/gatekeeperproductions Also, Scuba and Shackleton are awesome, and listen to the the mary anne hobbs show on radio one, it's savage!! Sorry, i'm proper geek when it comes to this type of music, i f**kin love it! hope to hear some at the world best festival!!
