I'm lucky enough to get my ticket for free, but I was just wondering what people made of the new deposit scheme? Has it been less stressfull? Easy to organise groups of friends to go etc?

I have friends that are going for the very first time this year just because in the past they have missed out in the early Sunday morning rush to get tickets due to bad luck. I think its great that there will be so many people going who just want to be at the festival regardless of who's playing, and not these pricks that throw a fit because Jay-z is playing (ITS ONE ACT GO SEE SOMEONE ELSE!!!) From Eavis's point of view. It's been a huge success as he's already apparently sold 90% of the tickets without announcing an act. Surely this deposit scheme will carry on for future years?

Yep paid mine off the other week, with a car park pass on top of that. I for one can't wait!

Didn't think banks were supposed to levy 30 quid charges any more. Ring them up and explain, they might waive it, or at least lower it?

I've done this before, the bloke on the other end of the phone acted like I was expecting him to sacrifice his first born child, but after much "well, as a gesture of goodwill only, this won't happen again, a once only act, blah blah..." they waived the fee.

30 quid is a lot of beer....

I'm fully paid up. Personally I really liked the scheme this year of reserving a ticket with £50 deposit. It's been nice to have it sorted for a while, instead of getting excited, but then having to face the 'will I/won't I get a ticket', uncertainty of ticket day in April

Just paid my balance and for 4 friends. Still waiting for the cash from some of them.

See tickets then kindly sent me an email saying they would extract £674.50 from my account!!!!!!

Thats going to make a serious dent in the overdraft!!

Still exciting though!! B)
