Limpet
I'm lucky enough to get my ticket for free, but I was just wondering what people made of the new deposit scheme? Has it been less stressfull? Easy to organise groups of friends to go etc? I have friends that are going for the very first time this year just because in the past they have missed out in the early Sunday morning rush to get tickets due to bad luck. I think its great that there will be so many people going who just want to be at the festival regardless of who's playing, and not these pricks that throw a fit because Jay-z is playing (ITS ONE ACT GO SEE SOMEONE ELSE!!!) From Eavis's point of view. It's been a huge success as he's already apparently sold 90% of the tickets without announcing an act. Surely this deposit scheme will carry on for future years? Mr.Tickle
It's got a big thumbs up from me, only downside is paying at end of Jan, end of Feb would be MUCH easier on the bank balance.
Quinny
Whoop de whoop, just paid the balance off mine! It was kinda weird though, didn't let you know about any booking fees (which I assume there are), anyhoo, I'm gan! Get in there lad!
Quinny
Well got my confirmation, £130 + £4.50 booking fee. So really that is a £9.50 booking fee! I'll always pay it but it's crazy to think that it can be justified by the scoundrels at See.

Josie's Cat
Didn't think banks were supposed to levy 30 quid charges any more. Ring them up and explain, they might waive it, or at least lower it? I've done this before, the bloke on the other end of the phone acted like I was expecting him to sacrifice his first born child, but after much "well, as a gesture of goodwill only, this won't happen again, a once only act, blah blah..." they waived the fee. 30 quid is a lot of beer.... sinned666
The £4.50 is for the recorded delivery. The ticket is £125 + £5 Booking Fee. There will only be one charge for delivery of multiple tickets though. Edited January 28, 2009 by sinned666
Bradders
Deposit gets a thumbs up for me. My friends are thick and telling them "you only have to pay £50 now and worry about the rest next year!" worked a treat.
Eyebath
I'm fully paid up. Personally I really liked the scheme this year of reserving a ticket with £50 deposit. It's been nice to have it sorted for a while, instead of getting excited, but then having to face the 'will I/won't I get a ticket', uncertainty of ticket day in April
alibear
Fully paid up too. I love the deposit idea. Ensures you can go with all your mates with a tiny bit of organisation! It's a lot easier to commit if you only have to part with 50 quid initially. Soooo excited!
