andy1673
That they don't make you get your wristband right away like last year to save on queues? What in gods name was wrong with showing your ticket to get to the campsite and going and getting the wristband at your leisure? It was awful/funny (at the time) watching all these poor sods trying to drag all their stuff through one mud soaked tent then falling over! I hope they change it to what it was like before. All this being said, this was on the wed so it might've been ok after this! Anyway Hope the headliners will be KOL ACDC & A.N Other. Would have said Arctic Monkeys but seen them 3 times already. dan1892
I doubt it was any better on the thursday.
rexclark
well hopefully it won't be muddy this year reducing the falling over.
rachbon
i'd rather just get my wrist band on the way in. i doubt it makes that much difference to the queues. i'm going on wednesday this year anyway. don't know what difference that'll make though. rachbon
T in the park used to have a wristband tent inside the campsite, then a few years ago they changed it and started giving you your wristband on the way in. i never noticed any difference in the queues. what time do they usually open the campsite on the wednesday? really canny be f**ked with 6 hour queues. i think we got there about 4pm on the thursday last year and we weren't in the queue for that long. maybe about an hour or something. phil123
We've been 3 times now and l've only queued once which was 05. but we do camp in brown tho, Getting the wristbands at the gate really is better, cos once your in you don't have to fanny arse around geting one, and going to the wristband exchange is about 15-20 min walk away. After you've been carrying all your stuff, setting up your tent, the Last thing you want to do is go and queue up for a bloody wristband... Lets hope that they don't bring them sh*t food bars this year,
andy1673
It possibly could be better getting your band on the way in but the fact is last year on the wednesday was a total farce. Gate (only one gate open) didn't open till at least two hours after it was supposed to which meant we had to queue for at least three hours to get to the campsite "early". This combined with the big downpour when we were all queueing through a bottleneck wasn't my best experience of the festival. Considering the early entries sold out rapidly (first time i'd seen this) I think the organisers were completely unprepared. Still i'm a glutton for punishment and have got my early entry again for next year so we'll see what happens!! Bring on the sun!!
dakyras
If you and a mate go in with 2 tickets, you can take both tickets out and let someone else in; used to be one of the easiest ways to sneak in. It's a security issue.
farmer_andy
Yeah I dont mind a queue if it stops people with no tickets getting in. Last year, just cracked some beers in the car park and waited it out, was pretty fun until it pissed it down

Pearson19
Last year was an ordeal... it took me and a mate around 6 hours to get in. Thankfully we had some mates who somehow got in 2 hours earlier than us to take out tents and stuff in for us. We wondered in to a fully set up camp with our tents in the circle (Y). EDIT> This was on wednesday btw Edited February 10, 2009 by Pearson19
