Just found on Marilyn Manson's official website that they are playing the Metaltown festival in Sweden in June. This should mean that they're playing at Download as well. I wouldn't bet against a headline slot

Second to last or a headline slot could certainly be in the pipeline.

Them before Slipknot is feasible enough.

think thats a bit harsh i saw a lot worse in 07. think Manson is always a good adition to the lineup roll on first anouncement

i saw manson at leeds last time he was there, and he was better than maiden imo (fair enough they were doing the first four albums tour, but download is the demographic for that, with the average leeds/ reading punter a greatest hits would've gone down better). Manson came on the stage, didn't acknowledge the crowd, stayed in character and belted out hit after hit and was fantastic. Sadly that's all a memory now, i heard the first single off his last album and it was absolutely terrible, my mates said he was bad at download that year too.

Nin though, yes! headlining all the way.

Having said that, they were great at Reading in 2001!

I thought he was pretty good at Reading 2005.

Not so good at Download 2007.

And very good in December 2007 at Birmingham NIA (best of the 3)

Marilyn Manson was good at Reading 2001. Wasn't that fussed in 2005 though.
