1st Announcement?

Now we know when the tickets will go on sale, when do you think the big first announcment will be made?

In the past it has been the Monday of the week the tickets go on sale so in this case it would be Monday 2nd March and the line up would get announced on Virgin Radio

Now Virgin Radio is no more, I don't know if Absolute that took over have the rights

Didn't last year 4music had a show on announcing the acts too, maybe it will get announced on there, we will know the bulk on the mian acts the start of that week anyway

Wasn't last year a complete sham? Thought they sold the tickets then didn't release the line-up for about 2 weeks after...I seem to remember everyone on here crowing about V taking money and not caring about customers etc...

Nope, line up was announced the monday, tickets on sale 4 days later

im sure muse announced they were headlining before v did kind of forcing them to announce muse, lets hope a headliner will release some info.

also last year we had drownedinsound (i think) report quite early on, january i think, that verve, prodigy and kaiser chiefs were all playing. nothing leaked like that this year though :angry:

i think the muse thing last year first cropped up when michael eavis mentioned they were playing v didnt it?

Where has the Killers rumour even come from? Neil hasn't reported it, they headlined 2 years ago making them even less likely & as stated above their performance in 07' was hardly spectacular.

I was quite looking forward to seeing the killers in 07 and they was soooo pants, I left early, can of stella was just far more pressing than staying for the end!!

Bek - Couldn't agree more, you're always gonna get the 'indie sindy's' who would quite happily watch Brandon Flowers read the phone book out on stage but for the rest fo us, who can tell the difference between a good & bad live performance it was obvious Kasabian b;ew them off the stage.

Killers have a handful of good songs i was at v07 staffs and they were shit i left before the end wasted my time im not a big oasis fan but would like to see them just because its oasis
