Drugs at Glastonbury

There is a stereotype about music festivals that the people who go all take drugs. Just wanted to get some idea on people's opinions using a nice anoynomous poll so please answer truthfully.

Obviously if you would like to elaborate on your answer please do so.

Not exactly an exhaustive poll "Yes please" makes it sound like you're a drug addled addict rather than what some might consider themselves as more of an "occasional" user.

Last couple of years I dabbled in Kermit's favorite herb, but ain't touched it since August, and have challenged myself to keep off for the rest of my life if possible. I'll still support it to be legalised.

As for at Glastonbury, part of my reason in stepping away is how it fatigued me. I sleep a lot as it is, and in a warm tent after exams, I perhaps didn't stretch my Glasto 2008 experience as I could have. So we'll see what happens in 09

Personally, I'm not really into the whole drugs thing.

Saying that though, I don't mind a bit of weed every now and again. :angry:

i have a theory that there is a direct correlation between glastonbury losing its edge/atomosphere and the reduction in the percentage of attendees using mind altering substances :angry:

They aren't for me but if people want to take them I have no problem with that as long as they don't turn into pricks, that goes for people who drink too much and become pricks aswell!

.....does that not in turn say the Glastonbury atmosphere is an illusion merely created by mind altering drugs? I beg to differ even if I have only been to 1. I would put that down to you having nostalgia of past Glastonburys you have been to.

Certainly not much open dealing going on. Back in the early 90's every bridge/pinchpoint would be dealer central, openly flogging whatever you wanted. The quality of their wares, however, was a little patchy.

Nowadays you might get a visit whilst at camp but bringing your own in is the much simpler idea. Usual discretion required of course.

no imo it shows that having more people there on mind altering substances merely improves and enhances the atmosphere as they are less inhibited

i dont mind either way.

what i dont want is for certain drugs to take hold.

last time i went the camp next to me out of their heads on bolian marching powder all weekend, and just got agressive with eachother. seriously, what was the point.

basically, i do what i want to do,want others to have a good time, but dont impinge on anybody elses fun.

there should be plenty of space there for almost all persuausions
