BB KING

any news on this neil?

BB King AND John Mayall.

Saw BB about three years ago, and he was brilliant; he said that was gonna be his last tour outside of the UK as getting on and all...but I'd guess he'd be jazzworld headliner if he was to play friday like is rumoured...so clashing with Neil Young. :) (where's the crying emoticon?)

Young will win over, but I'll be surprised if there's a worse clash for me over the whole weekend.

so just seen his tour dates..they fit, but would he really do 5 consecutive nights considering he's 83. Is it just a hunch on the tour dates or is their something more concrete?

Wednesday 24th June Manchester Evening News Arena

Thursday 25th June Birmingham National Indoor Arena

Saturday 27th June Cardiff International Arena

Sunday 28th June London Wembley Arena

well, I've seen BB and Neil Young. BB King was ok.. spent a lot of time padding his set out shaking hands with the audience, handing out his guitar picks, etc. Neil Young took my breath away each of the 3 times I've seen him. Sorry BB, but if it comes to it, it's a bit of a no-brainer (as the youngsters seem to say :) )

i suggested this ages ago when i was talking about jazz world headliners.....

after buddy guy and king solomon burke i didnt know how they would top that.....

BB KING would be AMAZING though....its been an ambition to see him live before i die( or he dies)

this is what i love about glasto....the chance to see legends play....while the majority of people will be watching some indie crap....or neil young...that is an awful clash...but id choose bb king as i know most of his tunes, and i quite LOVE THE JAZZWORLD stage

anyone remember the dude proposing to his missus after eddie grant on jazz world

aah i love jazzworld so much .....even with the distinct lack of jazz acts lol
