I was there, and I was dead dissapointed. Playing songs how other guitarists would sound like.. it was slightly embarrasing and not what I was hoping for...

I gave up after 15 minutes or so, much too much pandering to an audience who probably aren't that interested in the blues for my ears....

sorry :O

I would love to see BB King at Glastonbury this year - saw him 20 odd years ago and he was great - a real talented and authentic blues guitar player :)

Hope (if he appears) he doesn't clash with one of the main headliners though .... :O

Will be very interested to see if his name is on the final Glastonbury set list.

that last clip is one i always show my friends the difference between a really good guitarist and 3 proper amazing guitarist....

Jimmy is so far out of his depth on that video but any really good guitarist would be....but on merit he is responsible for "the" greatest guitarists ever...

all of those guitarists on stage would say the exact same thing about stevie....

sorry i do get carried away with SRV im just so gutted i was born 10 years too late lol

Even if you're not into Blues ( ) I can't see why you wouldn't wanna go and see BB King. He's a musical livin leg end, one to be 'ticked off the list'. Late afternoon slot would be best, while feeling comfortably numb as the sun goes down. I'm hoping for a day like we had last year which was permeated with blues - Seasick Steve (good fun), Eric Bibb (AKA Dwayne Dibbly, always worth a look) and of course topped off with Buddy Guy - who cares about showboating, that's probably the best guitar sound I've heard outdoors :)

Quick point: John Mayall is playing the UK every night of the Glastonbury Experience, EXCEPT, BB King isn't joining him on the Friday Night. Proof can be found on the tour schedule here:

http://www.johnmayall.com/tour.html

So, BB King takes one night off from the tour in order to put in an appearance on the Jazz World? It's not impossible!!!! I think that one isolated absence does look pretty suspicious to me.... surely, if BB was available, he'd play there just as he has been the whole run of dates.

This seems pretty positive to me- I'd much rather see BB on his own.........
