So why hold back on announcing the line-up?

As has been previously observed, one very important benefit in releasing the line-up earlier would be to see the end of pointless threads speculating whether Radioherd / the Attic Monkeys / Sly and the Family Stone / Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland are playing.

Not really bothered either way, just seems a bit pointless holding back now its a sell-out. Sure some might ask for refunds if they dont like the line-up, but they'd get snapped up again I'm sure. To me its a bit like spending a lot of money on a box and not knowing whats inside it until you get home.

I notice that last years headliners were announced at the beginning of Feb.

Just because YOU are going so you can experience the Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary blah blah, some people will go to Glastonbury because it is known worldwide as the festival that has the BEST line-up. Its just a personal thing I have always wanted to go to glasto, always, for many many years but for various reasons it has never been possible.... That is not to say I have never been to any other festivals, far to the contrary, we have travelled all over Europe and would be attending glasto this year no matter what, for the experience of everything else going on!

But it would just be nice to know some of the line up, not necessarily the headliners, in fact I couldn't give a monkies who they are, its the smaller bands I may not have heard of, listen to their sounds, see if I like them, spread the word etc etc thats all

Why is that mean?? You didnt buy the ticket to go see this band or that band, you bought the ticket to go experience Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts., and therefore regardless of the line-up why would you want to get a refund....?
