Travelling from Glasgow to the event, official buses?

I've just bought a weekend with camping ticket & was wondering what is the best way to get down to the event. Would anyone be willing to let me hitch a lift with them both ways & i'll give a few quid towards petrol money.

I'd recommend a flight from glasgow to east midlands airport, its what my friends from edinburgh do every year. Plus east midlands is literally next door to donington.

I'd hang about before booking anything. Train always starts at £15 each way and never realy goes over £40.

Dunno how we're getting down yet and I'm from outside Glasgow.

not always guaranteed a seat on the coach or train. got the train from Manchester to Cardiff once and didn't have a seat i'd pre booked and also coming back they'd overbooked so ended up on the floor for the whole trip. with the coach you can get bumped off because they always overbook them with the expectation that there will be a few people that don’t turn up.

sorry to hear about your horrid train journey metalman. A place on the floor's not what you need after a heavy weekend.

wasn't relly bothered about sitting on the floor as it was coming back from the playoff finals and we won so happy days.
