musky
Netweather is currently sitting on the fence with a 50% chance of a mudbath. Tomorrow (Wednesday) will be a cracking day, plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures making for ideal tent pitching conditions. Into Thursday and it's more of the same, although there is the outside chance of a shower during Thursday afternoon, but with any luck at all may stay dry. It's from Friday onwards that things are likely take a turn for the worst, Friday does seem likely to see showers developing during the day, some of these could be heavy and prolonged with the odd storm mixed in as well. More showers are again likely into the weekend, but there will be some decent bright or sunny spells in between with Sunday possibly the hottest day of the festival as temps could climb up towards 26-27°c. There does remain some considerable uncertainty for the weekends weather, so be prepared for all eventualities and have a great time if you are going, and don't forget the sunblock! scorp
Netweather is currently sitting on the fence with a 50% chance of a mudbath. I'm preparing for blazing sun with just the odd light shower to keep the dust down. Edit: Oops - that text was last updated yesterday. But the forecast at 04.40 gives heavy rain for about 18.00 n Friday, with light or very light rain throughout Saturday and very light showers at times on Sunday. mario man
What a superb day, great start to the festival! I won't be down there until this time tomorrow, so fingers crossed the weather holds for a least one further day of sunshine General consensus hasn't changed overnight, main threat is the possible heavy showers on Friday. I think it will rain, lets just hope we get the lighter stuff. Most of the weather sites then suggest things will improve through the weekend with Sunday being pretty sunny & warm. Except the BBC who say heavy showers for Sunday! Will be interesting to see if anything changes during the day. Will keep an eye out for any Jackone postings but I assume he's finished for this year now the gates are open?
Haggis
Torrential downpours followed by frequent water top ups is just about as good a mud making recipe as you can get. Hey ho <reaches wellies out of cupboard>

Smee
It's gonna rain, but I don't think it's going to be as bad as the BBC are making out. It will be mainly hot with a fine mist to cool you off in the humidity.

shangri-la_steward
Oh crap. This doesn't look good. Pre and post festival, the weather's great. During, it's crap. I REALLY wish they'd move the festival to a drier time of the year. http://uk.weather.com/weather/10day-Shepton-Mallet-BA4
musky
Netweather have just updated their forecast for Glasto. Not much has changed - but the changes they have made indicate slightly more rain each day than their previous forecast. I'm now off to look for my wellies.
