WEATHER 2009 !

Does anybody else not really understand these forecasts and just looks for the bits that say 'warm and sunny'?

I'm looking for the 7 or above and I think JACKONE is being secretly conservative in his grading compared with last years. The same forecast this time last year would have been an 8 or maybe a 9. Crikey, temps of mid to high 20's are being forecast a week and half before. It seriously looks like we're all going to HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVVVVVEEEEE IIIIIIIIITTTTT! GETTT INNNNNNN!

“Warming up.”

High pressure stays with us for most of this period and should extend its influence across much of the UK resulting in mostly dry and often very sunny conditions.

Temperatures should recover from mid to late June onwards so it will feel more like summer again with some very warm days likely, particularly in the south.

Rainfall amounts could be very scanty in many areas although there is always the potential for some thundery outbreaks towards the south-east giving localised downpours.

Don't forget folks CountryFile (or country tracks is it?) at 11am this morning on BBC1. A week ahead forecast and they may even hint to what we're facing shortly after that too.

What i don't get is how some forecasts are so opposite. According to metcheck its more rain and clouds than sun.However Accuweather.com says sun,sun and more sun. The beeb does'nt say much at all apart from sunnyish. WTF do these people get paid for? They have super duper computer models and they cant even agree on any details at all. Someone must be right and others must be wrong, but who do you believe ? I for one haven't got a F****** clue. so pack for any eventuality and we'll all be ok.

Just seen the Country Tracks week ahead forecast and after an indifferent start, shows a decent area of high pressure moving in from the south west by friday - should be a good solstice as things stand
