Aragorn
check www.netweather.tv for all your weather needs I am pretty sure they do a glasto forecast nearer the time aswell, in fact I know they do - they usually start about a month in advance and update it daily to reflect the updated weather models that come out every 6 hours. mario man
I like the sound of this: From what I can tell, the jet stream has shifted back north again - its this that has brought all the wet weather the last two summers. This should make for a more settled Azores high and a much better summer.

Splatt
Not long until I'm hanging onto Steve Murr's every word again. Can't wait, as ever it's going to be a roller coaster of emotions as we head towards end of June

Sam Crawley
No worries about that, it's the standard Metcheck weather lore spiel. Won't apply this year!!
Sam Crawley
Incidentally, does anyone have a strategy for stopping people from discovering that old page on Metcheck with the nonsense numbers on it, then posting a new thread on here to share the hilarity? If I see one more I think it will actually spur me into complaining to Metcheck and asking them to take it down!!!

technohead
God I'm late visiting this thread this year - 10 pages already! Anyway - I've become obsessed by the jet stream since last year and have found this which I'll now obsess over daily until the festival: http://squall.sfsu.edu/crws/jetstream.html ... if you go to 'North Atlantic - Latest Available' it shows you where the jet is at the moment: http://squall.sfsu.edu/gif/jetstream_atl_init_00.gif As of today (22 April) it shows the jet tracking to the north = the lovely weather we're having. Just needs to STAY THERE goddammit........

Mardy
Over here, before the May Day parades, the4y sent planes up to drop chemicals on the clouds to disperse them, guaranteeing lovely sunny, dry weather. Given the compromises Glastonbury makes, and the fact we're all agreed it hasn't sold out, what about that
Mardy
actually, I've got it. I'll gt hold of some of these chemiclas, then we send them up on the Wednesday night via those sky lantern things from the stone circle. Best of all worlds. mouth
You'd better be quick with the lanterns before someone finds a nasal home for those chemicals...
grumpyhack
Forget long range forecasts. A man came yesterday to paint the outside walls of my house. He said: "The weather forecast for today is for rain but it promises to be sunny tomorrow so how about we leave it for today and I come back tomorrow?" I didn't argue and away he went. Twenty minutes later the clouds disappeared and we had a wonderful sunny day. He came back this morning, on the day that sun was forecast, and it's raining. If we can't get it right on the day or for the next day, what chance of realistically predicting two months ahead?
danicalifornia
aslong as it doesnt rain on the wednesday when im pitching up the tent i will be happy
