Every year l go to leeds, l always, (like many others) end up carrying most of the stuff from the car to the camp site.

Last year l used a trolley, and it kept on getting stuck in the mud and l saw some poeple using big rucksacks which looked alot easier

Where could l find one that would hold all or even most of the gear? one that l could strap more stuff to.

Any tips on making "the trip" easier?

millets will do good quality ones but are quite expensive. i hear argos ones are quite good and reasonably priced. tesco direct also do them and are extremely cheap, but i couldn't comment on their quality...

i would reccomend ones that are 60 litres or over if you want to fit most your stuff in, hope that helps!

Mines about 50 litres I think and I got it for 3 quid from the Argos warehouse

Take children ... I find they can carry loads when plied with booze

thanks alot everyone for your advice. I.ll take a look in argos and then all the big supermarkets.

I like the children idea tho, but mine are just too young. 1 at 2 years and the other about 7weeks old!

I got one from Tesco last year and it was ok but couldn't get that much in it, and the straps at the bottom couldn't fit my camping mat in them which was so annoying! Can't remember what size it was, it was about £20, anyway, I wouldn't get from Tesco.

those somalians get everywhere. last year at glasto we sneaked into this fairtrade coffee shop and round the back they had about 20 somalians tied up boiling kettles and making Kenco! what a f**king rip-off!

They were standing in about 3 inches of cold water, and if one of them got an order wrong (eg putting sugar in a coffee when it wasn't required) they ALL got electrocuted. It was brutal.

I've got a Tesco's rucksack and I can't fault it. Cost about £20 and has done a couple of T in the Parks and numerous other trips, its a good size, lots of little pockets and its well padded so quite comfortable to carry even when its got a lot of stuff in it.

What about taking a suit case... you could fit everything in it, it's got a lock on so your stuff's relatively secure and it's got wheels so you car drag the f**ker to the campside.

Good ideal is to have a waterproof bag for you valuables as well like:

You can get large Backpacks pretty cheap- £50 or less that will last forever. Look for one that has an inbuilt raincover- easy to wipe down if it's muddy.

I got an 85L Gelert one from Tentastic.co.uk for about £40 and it served me well at Glasto this year. Same ones they sell in Millets etc just loads cheaper. Happy camping!

Took one of those to Reading and Newquay last year, as well as glasto this year and soon to be newquay and reading again. Easily big enough for me and does come with a guarantee if anything breaks (not that it will!)
