Thanks. As it happens im aware of the various threads which have came & gone on the subject, i just think they should announce the bill now for people who have given them money long ago (me in Oct) or recently (my mates paid off their balance before the deadline).

when do they normally announce the full line up, isn't it usually around april time?

why do people expect this year to be any different.

Nope, it's normally end of May/beginning of June.

And seeing as Glastonbury have already stated that that's when the line-up will be announced, this year won't be any different - particularly as they have contracts in place with certain media outlets which give them the exclusive on the announcement at the end of May/beginning of June.

There's no point getting wound up about it, it ain't gonna happen sooner.

I remember the good old days when we bill was announced in NME at the beginning of June but sadly those days are over & i never had to buy a ticket in October back then. The majority of me doesn't mind who even plays on the bill but i paid my money so long ago now, i kinda feel they should just confirm even the headliners.

I'd quite like to know the lineup too! i don't understand why people are taking it so personally! what's wrong with wanting to know whose playing a festival that you've paid close to £200 for!?...

i am sure it'll be leaked earlier, it always is.. but still.. it'd be nice to know a few of the bands before the actual festival also!

Were you sold that ticket on the basis that as soon as they were sold out they'd announce the acts? Nope.

You'll know the full line-up long before the festival starts. What's the panic?

I'm looking forward to the festival. A large six figure number of people with tickets are too. I'm looking forward to all the cultural fun and games to come. In the midst of looking forward to the festival, I'm still operating as a human being who likes to attend lots and lots (and lots!) of gigs and concerts. Tragically, I do not have unlimited financial resources. There are several concerts coming up, where I live, in Manchester, before Glastonbury takes place. I would like to buy tickets to these concerts, but am limited financially to how many concert tickets I can buy. Therefore, it would be not only nice to know for the sake of it, but it could save me the trouble and money of buying a gig ticket to see a band in say, March who I then subsequently could find out are playing Glastonbury, in June.

In these troubled financial times (*INSERT HEART-STRING-TUG RECESSION SOB STORY HERE*), Glastonbury could help out a poor northern git with his gig planning by releasing more than the name 'Franz Ferdinand' who we've all frankly seen more times than we've had hot dinners, as good as they are to watch live.

Not that I'm going for the music of course...oh lordy no. Why would I attend a massive cultural and musical event like Glastonbury? Surely not partly for the music? That would be madness. Sheer madness...

All I'm saying is, when one's main hobby is live concert attendence, and Glastonbury's virtually sold out, why not do Mr. No Money Gig Fan a favour and let him plan his musical calender, so he can get back to planning his cultural funsies in Somerset come June? Would be nice is all. And yes, I get the irony of me making a financial argument about this issue when I've just paid 180 quid for a festival ticket, I know, I know. You see, I wasn't broke then. I am now though.

No panic, no fear, no back-door attempt to turn Glasto into another bloody V festival.

:P

(This is meant to be a light-hearted post, so for the love of beer/lsd/god/whatever, don't take it seriously folks!)
