does anyone know how gig admittance works for CMJ - is it like SXSW where pass holders get priority entrance and then there are other means of entry (eg wristbands/paying on the door) or do you need a pass for all events? I'm going to be in New york when it's on so would like to go to some shows but as there'll be lots of other stuff to do probably not the full works so not sure whether buying a pass is worth my while.

Its first come first serve for badge holders but with around 60 showcases per night you will have so many choices of who to see and where.
