Experimental, new bands/electronica acts.

Where should we go to see new, more unknown bands or better yet, small electronic acts.

Last year saw Chrystal Castles, DIOYY and Midnight Juggernauts. They also played Glasto in rather big venues (JP en Dance Village). Glade's supposed to be great. Other than that, are there small, more intimate, places to go for this sort of thing?

The Dance Lounge, down in the Dance Village had a great line-up last year...

I think as long as you stay away from the major stages you'll find loads of interesting stuff - according to Tort's FAQ there are over 60 stages now, and only half a dozen of those have the usual band names.

Last year whenever I had some free time I would try to get to the Radio 1 Introducing Stage up in the Park area, plenty of good music there of all styles, from hip hop to the Langley Sisters (?), some sort of 20s glamorous girls singing in harmony type thing, and rather fetching they were too!

And what's Croissant Neuf all about? Seems to be plenty of good stuff happening there, I will try to investigate this year!

Club Dada had bands playing through the night in Shangri-La too, this was where I spent a fair bit of Sunday night last year, they had some incredible band come on at about 4:30am with about 20 musicians, the whole stage was full and the tunes were great :)
