Salt_On_Everything
my guess goes for Clutch as early afternoon mainstage. i think that'd be perfect to start up the ol' boozeroony for the day! outsider chance as 3rd stage headliners? Lithium05
You could do a lot worse than having Papa Roach headline the second stage on sunday... I'm just hoping for a band I like at the same time as Def Leppard cos you couldn't pay me to watch them!
Salt_On_Everything
personally, i think no way Papa Roach could headline second stage. look at past years, are they even remotely as big as Korn, Motley Crue, Prodigy, etc? i mean, Cavalera Conspiracy might have done it last year on one album, but thats on true legend status, which Papa Roach don't and never will have. luckysalt
Yeah I just read through the download forums to get more info So basically its just someone saying that they spoke to a member of the band and they said they were opening main stage, hmm I'll wait for some more concrete info Also heard the All American Rejects info, playing Tuesday in London before Download, that seems pretty certain they'll be at Download, would fit in well on Friday too I reackon

Salt_On_Everything
i still can't forgive The Darkness over something, not that it was even their fault!!! TITP 2004, looking forward SOOOO much to David Bowie. he pulls out, and we end up with the f**king Darkness HEADLINING. christ. so i don't think i'll be giving Hot Leg too much time. must be a bit f**king weird for Mr Hawkins tho, going from headlining fests a few years back to back at first on the mainstage! seriously, i'll be surprised if Hot Leg ever become more than his pet project and a slightly cult-ish reminiscence band... Bad Girl
didn't get the darkness.. don't get hot leg.. i will reserve my irritations re: mr. hawkins but just say that wailing harmonies over a re-hash of old skool rock does not bode well with my already delicate ears.. however (just to prove my dislike for their ear violating music does not stem from their association with the darkness) i was impressed with stone gods last year
luckysalt
Motley Crue and Buckcherrys days they play have been confirmed via their myspaces, 1st post has been updated
Salt_On_Everything
hmm, Motley Crue and FNM same day brings up a dilemna that not i but my friends will be concerned with. i'm certainly gonna be seeing FNM as i can imagine a few other members of the group are, but i'm going with a couple of hardcore Motley Crue fans too... should be intersting if they do 2nd stage headline! Lithium05
Maybe they were just going with the theme of awful bands if it was at an Alter Bridge gig... just a theory...
