Sunday afternoon legend slot?

Afternoon all! Long time lurker, first time thread starter. Nice board you have here by the way!!

Now i've got the intros and arse-kissing out of the way....

Just noticed that Roger McGuinn is playing a one-off gig in Bristol on Monday 29th June. Surely he'll be stopping by the farm on his way?? Is he a big enough name for the Sunday afternoon pyramid slot? I know I would love it! Or maybe a smaller stage?

Nick Cave an oldie? Surely not!

Can't we have someone new. I've given up on Clapton and Parton turning up. If it has to be solo stars then Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross, Simon (and/or Garfunkel), Gary 'U.S.' Bonds, or Aretha Franklin - someone really bleedin famous.

and is it always a solo artist? How about some old groups? Like The Faces, The Eagles, The Kinks, Fleetwood Mac, The Bee Gees, The Byrds, The Yardbirds, The Jackson 5, The Four Seasons, Blood Sweat And Tears, or even The Monkees? Or matey boy from SuperTramp is doing the acoustic Festival.

Re the Tom Jones thing, are we now gonna have news stories of every band who would like to play Glastonbury? That's a lot of column inches I reckon.

I have said this before but i think that the great Jeff Beck could be a possibilty as he has a mini tour of the uk and is free on the sunday but it could be a bit of a trek from manchester to pilton.
