Pulp

Was just looking at another thread about best moments and one of the best for me was Pulp. At the time they were huge and a favourite at Glastonbury, but I don't really see them getting mentioned very much any more. Anyone else there at the time and thought the same?

In fact, are they not long over due a reunion? I think they would be great :)

was not there for 95 but saw them in 98 and one of my all time highlights. Always wanted to see them do the we love life album at glasto as they toured it in forests. Maybe in 2020, at the last ever festival ?they could do a reunion so that jarvis wish at the end of the 95 slot could come true.....'Glastonbury 25 years, here's to another 25 yrs...alright?'

As much as I would love this beyond anything else in the world, I can't see it happening, not at least for a good when to come. Have seen Jarvis do his solo stuff a few times, including at Koko in 2007 playing with Mackay and Doyle, but there wasn't even a sniff of a pulp intro (haha get it) in the set.

He's up on experimenting more with his own ability of a musician for the moment for it to happen any time soon

I was going to make a thread about the potential appearance of Jarvis solo seeing as he has a new album out soon. I don't see a full Pulp reunion anytime soon but Jarv would be nice regardless. I saw h at Pitchfork last year and it was still highly entertaining.

I'd much rather see pulp then blur.

They're up there with Godspeed You! black emperor & Pavement, for the bands who most need to re-unite.

I have to say out all the bands from the 90's Brit pop era Pulp is the one I would like to reform.

However I fear Jarvis has no stomach for it. I saw the South bank show they did on them and it just look final.

However the other band is I would quite like to see is Echobelly....

Only cos I fancied Sonya Aurora Madan...

i didn't think they's split as such, rather just...'stopped'? a 'hiatus' if you will. and they did play R&L relatively recently.

there was no musical difference yadda yadda fall out was there? i just always thought that they kind of moved on.

i am on the optimistic side though. i never got to see them so i'd give a testicle to see them together.
