no reasonable reason, except that ive seen them at glasto and they were brilliant and i want a simillar experience at latitude, and latitudes after glasto, and if i saw them at glasto id be less inclined to see em at latitude.

I love the Lips as much as the next guy, and would love to see them. But equally so (and far less likely I suppose), I would love to see Mercury Rev somewhere in the Glastonbury madness. Two great bands, with much shared heritage.

Yes definately - both great bands worthy of a place at this years Glasto

I remember seeing The Flaming Lips last time on The Pyramid in 2003 with all the people on stage in animal suits with flashlights, etc - was like a giant party with dozens of beach balls etc going through the crowd - crazy but great

Likewise, there 2003 slot is still one of my fave Glasto moments. Saw then at Summercase in Baracelons a few years ago to. Amazing!

they were just fantastic at lovebox last year and only a clash with neil young would drag me away from seeing them.
