Playing a festival in Denmark on the Friday of V, so Id say they're either gunna shoot over here fast and play V or they'll be at Reading and Leeds the following week, who knows but surely it will be one or the other

Nick Cave I reckon...playing Oxegen & T In The Park so bound to do a couple in England...reckon Glasto and V...plus SFA's and Flaming Lips

Is it just me...or are the bands that have been rumoured already suggest we're in for quite a strong line-up???

was just about come here and post nick cave. not really a typical "v" act (he's actually good ) but he was on the survey and has been announced for several other big festivals this summer so yeah i agree, he will be at v.

Think we can add Doves & Elbow as well...both touring and doing the rounds and haven't done V for a while...if we get them, Nick Cave, SFA & FLips I'd be well happy. If Public Enemy played like somebody suggested on another thread, it'd be pretty perfect for me (except for the headliners!)

GOMEZ need to be added to this list.

New album out in March and they are touring US first (March and April) including the South by Southwest festival.

They are due to announce their UK dates soon (likely to be Summer tour), but have already announced they will be doing the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in June (Manchester) with The Beastie Boys and Wilco.

New Album + Summer Tour + Popular V Band + Already doing Festivals = Strong Possibility!!

I see Alphabeat have been announced for the Big Chill start of August, Id say that virtually confirms they'll be back at V this year, which is great news, saw them at TITP and V last year and I disliked them before T, but they are a fantastic live act and I'll be watching them again this year!

For starters HELL YES on Boy Least Likely To fantastic band, would love them back this year in the JJB

Elbow I expect to be there this year, seems a natural booking

Now Doves... well I said since last time they played in 2005 that surely next time they'll be at Reading and Leeds BUT just saw theie tour dates and they're playing dates in both Reading and Leeds on their tour, now surely they wouldn't do this if they were playing the festival later in the year? I dunno, anyway, I now have hope again for Doves, so I hope they play

Would LOVE Gomez back, a great band with some excellent tunes, loved their last album and they have loads of classic tracks

They should get Justin Timberlake to play, everyone loves JT. What about bands like the dixie chicks as well and older popular bands, they should kind og do what other festivals do, have a new band headline and then an old band heandline.

JT on the saturday and Aerosmith on the sunday would be amazing.

Well they've got a UK tour in April so maybe they won't be announced soon, but maybe after the tour?
