Sub-headliners

Everyone seems sure that the Kaisers are certainties to be sub headliners.

Personally I think they're more likely to clash with Radiohead. It's not impossible, they're no bigger than Ash or the Manics, or if we're using the "oh but they're current" argument, The View, Klaxons or Babyshambles.

Glasvegas are on course to clash with Radiohead, and personaly I can't see Kaisers clashing with AM or KOL. Sub headliner is almost certain in my mind.

Well Bloc Party aren't playing V like people thought so any thoughts about them doing Leeds and Reading under Radiohead? Would fit I think. And they have a UK tour coming up around then I think.

They would be playing the same slot that the cribs played last year because they both won some award from nme.

But that slot last year clashed with the band NME fans were least likely to want to see.

I don't think Radiohead fall into that category...

No i think under radiohead will be a heavyish band .Hoping NIN .

Looks like the kaisers are under AM.

Im hoping for the phonics under KOL.

Can see the kooks , klazons and maximo park in there as well.

Nickleback would be awesome! 'Never made it as a wiseman, never made as a poor man stealing Singalong-tastic. Plus, normally there'd be the risk of idiots throwing bottles but given the current lack of rock acts rumoured most people would be happy just to hear some heavier guitars.

I really wish Placebo would play but I've heard somewhere that Rockness is the only UK festival appeaence they're making this year and I can't get those dates off in the hell hole that is work

Rockness is a Scottish festival exclusive for Placebo, but as mentioned elsewhere they're heavily rumoured for Sonisphere.

I'll be annoyed if weezer dont play over here soon! How long has it been since they released the red album? 8? 9 months? same goes for the Offspring actually, new album, no tour! (save for the superb Download appearance) some of these lazy bands need to pull their fingers out!

There's a Weezer rumour every year! They haven't played the fest since 2002, so I see no reason why they would this year!

i would guess at sub headliners: under arctic monkeys being kaiser chiefs nd maximo park, underneith radiohead slipknot nd lostproherts, and under KOL being someone like Franz ferdinand nd elbow. nme headliners, probs being yeah yeah yeah and glasvegas/klaxons and Prodigy/the cure a poss but they could be too big?

I reckon Arctics and Kaisers, Kings and Lost Prophets and Radiohead and Flaming Lips.
