zahidf
The lack of strong rumours for this third headliner makes me wonder if they've booked someone unexpected like Muse... That would be immense
Role Model
I know its highly unlikely they would get booked but would Daft Punk have to headline? Could they get away with 2nd on main or headlining NME or are they too big for that.
Gre
Don't worry, unless they pull out something special, or someone on my wishlist, my earlybird ticket is going straight on ebay! Englishdragon
Here Here I only watched Rage, Spent Friday walking between every headliner that was on and didnt watch any on the Sunday
RichieSpenno
I want to know what Neil has to say about this. Anyhoo... KOL - meh. really like them, seen em before, they're not a great live act. But if there was nothing else on (say a secret muse performance) I'd happily watch KOL. AM - Love the Arctics and need to see them live. Radiohead - Beyond epic. Probably the band I most need to see live behind Muse. I'd stand through any sub-headliner to get a good spot for RH. nin18
You need to see Radiohead for sure, but muse are dull live seen them 3 times and never watched the whole set through.
theramm
I'd never seen Muse & never was a big fan (bar a support slot for Skunk Anansie before their 1st album was released) but last year at V they blew me away. I'm hoping Radiohead will do the same. Arctics are VERY average live & although popular (then again so is Robbie Williams) not a worthy headliner IMO. Andy_T
Saw King of Leon at Glasto last year and Arctic Monkeys the year before and both were awesome and worthy headliners in my opinion (although copious amounts of beer may have improved my enjoyment of them). hyper music
I will feel quite ripped off if Kings of Leon were to play. They were really good in 2007 second headline to Razorlight I think i didn't stay round to see them. But the fact is that they have only released one album since then, have toured the UK extensively, and played every festival pretty much going and set to do again this year. Just getting a little bit sick of them in my opinion.
MEGABOWL
If radiohead are headlining ( which i hope they are) they chose who they play with. They are not going to have lostprophets under them, thank f**k.
kaosmark2
I wonder if that had something to do with what Neil was saying about them being on, then off, now seemingly on again. They picked Flaming Lips at Glasto 2003 and Beck at V2006 to play before them, but letting someone like either of them play 2nd on the bill really destroys the idea of a 'heavier' day, with Radiohead as a 'legend' headliner
beLIEveR
neil's ruled out muse. Edited February 18, 2009 by beLIEveR
eFestivals
I've always wanted to ask Neil actually. How he knows who IS playing is a well kept secret for very obvious reasons. I'm more curious as to how he finds out who ISN'T playing with a similar degree of accuracy. I have sources.

stephen07
That's just wrong. Muse don't win best live act at almost every award show all the time out of being dull live. May not be your thing, but most people (including all three times I've seen them) think they're amazing live.
beLIEveR
In 2006 they played Hysteria and Knights of Cydonia at the start. After that I thought "well they've played the only songs I actually want to hear, without having to endure some of the other drivel. What else is on?" metallimuse
This is the kind of thing, which if true, gives credence to the suggestion that they have disappeared up their own arses. I accept the possibility that some headliners are able to influence the bands on before them but they shouldn't be given the right to decide who plays after them. ste4_20
How can you be a headliner if someone is playing after you?Surely by definition that makes you a support artist/band?

I accept the possibility that some headliners are able to influence the bands on before them (would Tenacious D have sub-headlined if they hadn't been playing shows with Metallica last year?) but they shouldn't be given the right to decide who plays after them. Also, although I'd probably watch Radiohead, the lack of variety between the three headliners (if these three bands are headlining) means that we better be given some variety in a few of the higher main stage slots.
