Silent Disco

After the main acts at finished on the main stages in 2007 i attempted to get into the Silent Disco at the Park area. Hadn't a chance, the queues were massive so went to the Stone Circle instead. Whats the best time to get into the Silent Disco?

i think the queues are always big at the silent discos. we were quite naughty last year on the thursday night when it was raining, we started chatting with some randoms about a third of the way up the queue then after a couple of minutes just merged into it ninja style!

haha, i have a mate who says that's the only place he'll be all weekend, I'm hoping to go and see what all the fuss is about but not till the other music is all finished up

Ye the queue is generally fairly large most of the time, but it seems to go down quickly i went quite often last year. Frankly though it's nothing special once the novelty wears off you realise that loud/live music still has an advantage.

Give the Dj's credit though, good taste generally a large mix of music and they don't half work hard, they do up to 8/9/10 hour sets

Eurgh cant be arsed with all that, its at like every festival now so doesn't feel very special.

It is something to try it is fantastic. Especially when they play Oasis Wonderwall or such tracks, sing-a-long songs basically. Taking the headphones off then is quite something!

I love Silent Disco's I went to one on Friday in Cardiff. Its the best fun going, the mix of music is always good and I just love comparing the 2 frequencies.

I looked into the Park silent disco last year at some random time during the night, there was no queue. Looking in to see a bunch of people dancing around in total silence was extremely surreal! It also appeared to be quite bright inside, and just looked wrong! Prefer proper live PA'd music TBH.

The one up at the Park only had a long queue for an hour or so after the main stages closed down. Any other time you can walk in pretty easily. We always pop in for one visit every year, usually vv late on Thursday night so its daylight when you finally leave! Quite a lot of fun. I think the one in the Dance Village is busier

I take it there is a bar inside? So you don't have to hand your headphones over whilst you go out to get a drink?
