Buying Tickets..

After last years problem with SOS Ticketmaster, ive decided instead of being a complete idiot to actually buy the tickets on the day of release.

Soo what site would everyone recommend ?

Theres obviously: See tickets, Ticketmaster andd many more.. soo who had the easiest and most efficiant buy ? :(

all 4 of the legitimate sites are a nightmare on release day! last year a few of the self-announced bands (Muse) did a pre-sale for people registered to their website, that's how I got mine...see if anyone self-announces and see if they're offering anything like this.

Alternatively, just try to slog it out on Ticketmaster, seetickets, gigsandtours, stargreen on release day.

But they always release loads more after a few months so you could risk that too

Personally I found Ticketmaster to allot quicker than seetickets, not sure whether this was the same for everybody else.

Saying that as other people have mentioned tickets are usually released in several batches after the first rush.

its the speed of your computer mostly. Whoever says you won't get on the ticketmaster site at 10am is talking rubbish, unless you have a painful computer.

Ticketmaster is an absolutely incredible website, that runs so extremely fast its unbelievable. A few years ago, Ticketmaster & co were at little slow, I missed out on T in the Park tickets, 2007 i think. But its a different story now, Ticketmaster's servers are just frankly amazing.

Having said all that, I know that Ticketline.com sell V Festival tickets (I bought mine from there), as do www.gigsandtours.com (which is a seetickets affiliate).

You could try aloud.com, which is a Ticketmaster affiliate, LiveNation and TicketWeb, are also Ticketmaster affiliates. I'm unsure on the latter three, if they sell tickets for V, but if they do, they're definitely legit.

Stargreen only sell for Chelmsford I believe.

I know all this as I am a former ticket tout (eBay, there's too many people doing it now, so not worth it usually).

If you tried to go on to any of the websites at 10am you won't get on them. You need to be on the website a good half an hour before tickets go on sale.

My best tip for you would be to come on to efestivals as the admin on here and other kind forum users will post direct links to ticket pages and at the same time you will be helping this website to keep going.
