Wooderson
bloody better be someone else worth watching, bruce springsteen, it's almost laughable, we are in the year 2009, not 1970, HOW is he good enough to headline?? or is that what you all mean, the headliner's at glasto are always rubbish? hip hop shit last year? "the boss" this year, i could understand maybe popping along to see him if he was playing in the afternoon, between say ,fleetwood mac and blur, just to say you have seen him, but not the main event to go shouting about, if fact i'm quite embarresed to tell people that he is playing, cant wait to find out who is playing at the same time, but seriously, anyone who calls himself "boss" is gonna get flamed big time, i might even piss in a bottle and let him have it, now, altogether as one, "BOOOOOOOO!" glastonburynoodles
Well my wife is chuffed and I may accompany her but it depends on who else is playing at the same time. I like a few tracks and have tried to get into his music but to no avail. At least this means that most of the site will be quieter, I may even have a wander past the other stage and see the miniscule crowd that FF attract 'cause I'm sure that this will be the biggest crowd at the Pyramid since Macca. Jens Wildman
Great news for the festival, Im sure all you Bruce haters may change your mind after seeing him live, he puts so much passion and soul into every song and after a 21/2 hour show Im sure you'll be almost as tired as him, btw Bruce hasnt played BITUSA in rock mode with the band since October 2004 so thats puts things into perspective, this man has hundreds of songs to draw from ffs personally hoping he'll bring the intro to prove it back imagine this opening the show, be flippin awesome. Wooderson
Oh come on people. The only thing us 'worshippers' have done is slag off those who say things like, "hes shit shit shit and doesnt deserve to be at glastonbury, hes like a bad version of meatloaf and id rather spend my time watching anyone else, he definitely doesnt deserve to be headlining as hes an old man" Saying you dont like him, hes not your thing, is fine. Saying that he doesnt deserve to be at glasto, is what gets the response. No ones slagged anyone off for saying simply that you wont go see him cos he aint your thing. Oh and his voice is worse, hes 59, its the reason i think he doesnt play bitusa much. but it sounds better on other tracks when he doesnt half scream
Paul ™
This was my intention too, but the arrogance shown by some of the 'worshippers' on these boards has, frankly, put me right off the idea.
stonedhenge
Well said. I'm more than willing to debate the merits of someone sensibly. I draw the line when cretins start (even jokingly) talking about throwing piss at someone. Thus my rather brusque approach dealing with it in some instances.
