There was this curry stall...

...have they left?

Back in 2003, on our first wonder round the site, we came across a fantastic curry stall on one of the main drags. I think it was called "African Curry", or "Africa something...". It became our tradition in following years that after setting up the tent and chilling out for a couple of hours, we would have a first meal there as a proper start to the Festival.

But after the fallow year in 2006 I can't find it anywhere. The great thing apart from the fantastic food was that you could sit down - they had half a dozen tables under cover, along side the stall.

In 2005 it was great with the flood, because we got a good meal with a few pints from from one of the bars and got out of the wet.

The Indian Veggie Curry stall just below the bridge as you go into the Jazz World field (the end furthest from the stage) - I'm sure someone will explain what bridge more precisely - is superb. They have their own tables and chairs in front of the stall, which makes for comfortable eating. Their Festival Special at £5.95 is magnificent.
