Drinks

Can anyone remember how much drinks were in the arena and what was on offer?

i'm thinking of taking miniature vodkas and just buying coke in there as i won't want to drink cider ALL day.

Was it about £3.50 a pint? and can you buy plastic bottles of coke, or were they just selling cans/cardboard cups?

my memory is shocking!

thanks for any help in advance.

£3.30 a pint, imagine that'll be £3.50 this time around.

Lesser drinks are £2 pretty much everywhere. Sometimes the bathtub dealers will do it for £1.50 if you haggle (but they change prices at the drop of a hat, and also have a habit of not showing their prices) , and the sally army normally do water cheap, but always run out.

I'm normally happy (if reluctant) to pay for a drink if I'm spending a long time in the arena. But it depends on how fussy the security are being on the way in. For me, when they get stricter to stop alcohol making it through, it has the opposite effect. When it gets to the stage that I might miss a band because they're being dicks on the way in, that's when I refuse to pay for the priviledge of alcohol in the arena.

A little plan I figured out last year - they do those cold four packs of Carlsberg for £5 in Piccadilly Circus. Go with three mates, one of you gets the 'round' in, and just down the cold beer while queueing to get back in the arena. Only takes 15 minutes or so and saves a load of money.

(I seem to spend half my time figuring out cheap pikey ways to do stuff - it's what being on the dole does to you!)
