Faith could restored here.....

From the NME (but don't let that put you off) Neil Young will release his new album, 'Fork in The Road', on April 6.

A single, 'Johnny Magic', will be released on March 23. The track is currently streaming on Neilyoung.com.

The full tracklisting of 'Fork In The Road' will be:

'When Worlds Collide'

'Fuel Line'

'Just Singing A Song'

'Johnny Magic'

'Cough Up The Bucks'

'Get Behind The Wheel'

'Off The Road'

'Hit The Road'

'Light A Candle'

'Fork In The Road'

Young has also revealed details of two UK gigs, with more to be announced imminently.

Neil Young will play:

Nottingham Trent FM Arena (June 23)

Aberdeen AECC (June 24)

Looks a dead cert for Glasto now two days after Aberdeen.

I have it on good authority from Neil Young's Management that he is playing Glastonbury on the Sunday. I work for the bank Neil uses for his European finances. They confirmed he was playing the Sunday (didn't mention if he was headlining) and also playing London on the Saturday (they just said London, didn't mention the HRC festival).

Ahh things MIGHT be falling into place now.

There are a lot of rumours about Coldplay playing the friday.

Blur's place on the sunday was due to Neil thinking that a 'pop' band was needed to please the locals.

Blur can't play the friday.

Bruce is confirmed for the saturday.

If that info about Neil Young playing Sunday is correct then...

The headliners might be as follows:

Coldplay (?) on Friday, Bruce Springsteen and Blur on Saturday, Neil Young on Sunday.

There are obviously the problems of Emily Eavis saying that Coldplay wouldn't play, but I reckon this order makes the most sense.

If you look on the website, it says that Bruce Springsteen is headlining the saturday, but just says for Blur that they are "one of the headliners".

"Neil Young summer concert tour dates are starting to fall in place.

Here's what's been confirmed so far.

Barcelona, Spain on May 30

Oslo, Norway- The Norwegian Wood Festival on June 11

Stockholm, Sweden - Where the Action Is Festival " 12 or 13 June

Nottingham, UK on June 23

Aberdeen, UK on June 24

London, UK on June 27

Glastonbury Festival, UK on June 28"

you see, I'm convinced he's a bad choice as a sunday oldie. Sunday is the day when the locals come, the oldie needs to be someone to get the part timers up and moving, someone that the more casual music fan knows; Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, that sort of thing (which is fine, I think it's cool, and I have no problem with it). Neil Young, for better or worse, doesn't fit into that category.

Thats on Threshers wheat: no idea if its relaible or not though.

Seems weird he would headline Hyde Park and then play second fiddle to Blur. I agree A fri night headline slot seems odd, but i think he could do it. Guess those dates would rule out IOW, unless he wants to travel from Sweden!

For what its worth for all the other festivals Blur are headling their day is co headlined with another band (usually snow patrol) so id imagine blur will co-headline sunday with NY if he is as good as confirmed for the sunday.

Please not coldplay on the friday though, i really can't stand their droll.
