I went to Reading from 1999-2004, and found I was getting bored of it by '04. So I had three years off, went to other festivals, and returned last year... bloody loved it! Having a break and trying some different festies was definitely a good idea for me, I'd recommend it.

I may be completely wrong on this. But are most people complaining about Reading? Leeds has, IMO, got miles better in terms of last-night trouble these past few years. There's a few fires and gas cannisters but I've never felt in danger. And we have none of that angry mob bollocks.

I'm abit like this with Download festival at the moment I started going in 05 and I've been to 06, 07 missed 08 as the line up was garbage, I've got a weekend ticket for this years download festival but I'm seriously considering getting rid of it and getting day tickets instead. The first announcement was great and then it's been down hill ever since, unless the line up gets better then I'm definality getting rid of it as it's just not worth the money. At the moment I think theres maybe 4 bands I actually want to see and out of the headliners I only want to see Slipknot as I can't stand faith no more and don't like def leppard.

Back on topic I've been to leeds 04, 05 didn't go in 06 and 07 as I didn't really like the line up much and then headed back last year and depending on the line up I may be there this year

I already have a ticket for this year but I'm seriously thinking about selling it. Been going since 2005 and I sort of feel like the novelty has worn off a little. This year's line-up doesn't really appeal - but that wouldn't be enough to stop me from going - I've had great years when I've not been bothered by many bands at all. Also I already have my flat in Edinburgh for next year from early August, which I'm paying for obviously, and the festival's on there so I don't think I'll want to/be bothered to travel all the way down to Reading.

Ive one every year since 03 but it looks like time for a break. my mates have all dropped off one by one, and although i know people going i dunno if i can be arsed with the mess, the idiots and the crap lineup.

Now the festival is nothing to do with the lineup really, but last year i spent more time in the camp than i did in the arena, and its a lot of money to do that. If radiohead are confirmed I will be getting a day ticket....

Maybe I will return in 2010, but i will concentrate my time off and money to Glastonbury.
