I love blur and am really excited at the fact that they will be headlining on the Sunday. Can't believe it to be honest.

I have seen them a few times, the last being on the Think Tank tour in the Civic hall in Wolverhapton when Graham Coxen had gone AWOL. Was a good gig because of the size of the venue but was strange because one of the key members was missing.

For anybody wanting to try out some Blur stuff first port of call should be Parklife which is a classic. My favourite album is Blur / Blur, which when it was first released i thought it was quite a difficult album to get into, so if you get a copy give it chance as there are some of the best Blur moments on that album. "Strange news from another star", Death of a party show a different side to the band which was a pointer to the more experimental path they followed with the 13 album and Think Tank.

Modern life is Rubbish and the Great escape are really good also and have some fantastic songs which the Band will play live over the summer.

The imported Live at the Budokan is also really good.

Even Leisure has some really great songs. Hey i love them all!

I can't stand 13! Far too experimental and gloomy and just not as many tunes or songs. Tender, No Distance and Coffee & TV are ace though. For me it's:

1. Modern Life - perfection all the way through

2. Parklife - perfection most of the way through but some tunes grate on me through overplaying including the title track and Girls and Boys

3. Blur - could lose a couple of tunes and Essex Dogs is utter shit

4. Great Escape - if you get rid of 5-6 tunes this could be my fave but there's too many childish "na na na" songs which I can't help but think inspired the Kasier Chiefs!!!

5. Think Tank - probably the album i've listened to most in the last year but there's a lot of filler on it.

6. Leisure - great singles and, of course, Sing is on it but it sounds like they're trying too hard to be part of other scenes like grunge, shoegaze and baggy so the whole album doesn't fit right. Bad Day and Bang are tunes though

7. 13. No thanks.

Please play Bank Holiday!!

Be great to see how the crowd dances to that one ;)

And IF they have to do parklife (pfft), then they may as well get Phil Daniels out and get him to do 'me, White noise'. Imense track from the Think Tank era!

So, five tracks you want played?

(1) Badhead

(2) Best Days

(3) This is a low

(4) For Tomorrow

(5) The Universal

I don't know if you're joking or not, but Blur have a song called 'Sing' too, appears on their first album and the Trainspotting Soundtrack.

I'm presuming that they're going to get Phil Daniels to do Phil Daniels' bits for Hyde Park at least, if not Glastonbury then Damon will do them, as he did back in the day, they couldn't get Phil Daniels to come to every one of their gigs, he did the big ones/the ones in London generally.

I'm trying and failing to pick 5 songs, 5 favourite albums would even be tough, so I've craftily left out the hits, taking them as givens:

'Death Of A Party'

'Look Inside America'

'Advert'

'Starshaped'

'Trouble In The Message Centre'

.... off the top of my head, will be re-drafted SEVERAL times.
