kohoutec
I'm not a Springsteen or a Killers fan,but if I'm being honest I always thought the guy out of the Killers was a bit of a cock....Surely thats a decent comparison? Kyelo
Your going to get people up in arms about comparing Bruce to Brandon! They both creat strange lyrics.
LRW
From what i hear Bruce is a great showman, and puts on a terrific performance. BF has absolutely no stage presence or charisma whatsoever. I love the following statement in that link..... Springsteen and Flowers are, for lack of a better term, bone-crushingly cool versions of the men we want to be.
sdaveak47
I think brandon might have come out of his springsteen phase nowadays, when the 2nd album came out he wouldn't shut up about him. One plus about having springsteen & young on the bill even if you dont like them is they're held in such high regard by modern acts that they may be willing to accept lower slots that you'd normallt expect just to share the bill with there hereos. Which is possibly where this new 4th headliner talk comes in
Wooderson
WTF is Flowers' thang about feathers on his coats?
sdaveak47
And unless your a baddie in an old burt reynolds film the bootlace tie is a pretty unacceptable too
elias
Pretty pointless comparison really. I'm sure The Killers are influenced by Springsteen, but they have a long way to go before a true comparison can be realistically made. I thoroughly enjoy The Killers (off to see them in Cardiff tonight) and I'm also a Springsteen fan, but I'm not sure the two have much in common at this point in time. glastofun
I enjoyed the Killers at Glastonbury '07. Although I think the new album is dire, and it doesn't suprise me that Brandon name checks bruce, as he seems to name check everyone. Sure, I know people have eclectic music tastes, but he talks about everyone under the sun.
