I've been led to believe that it could go either way - I've been told that they haven't signed up yet, and that if they don't sign up soon the festival will move onto booking other acts.

Just wondering, what exactly have you been led to believe regarding placebo playing? Is it highly likely or just a hint or what?

I believe that (when I was sent the info) they were in talks about playing. Whether or not that panned out to them getting signed up I don't know, but I suspect I'd have heard something more if it had fallen thru.

Interesting that Neil was pretty sure they were playing, and now they're not. That obviously means they were taking the idea seriously, so fingers crossed that makes them more likely to do Reading.

I've been led to believe that JA were given a deadline to sign up. the deadline came and went and they hadn't signed. I've been led to believe that at that point Sonisphere gave up on them and moved onto booking other bands.

I dont know. It makes sense that they would be there based on NIN being there, but that same pitchfork site had a list of dates on before the tour was officially announced, all of which were bullshit and based on something theyd found on a shitty messageboard.

Kind of like how the sun get their leeds festival info from virtual festivals every year and look like complete planks every year when they release their secret confirmed lineup..

Also, why no mention of the 2 confirmed dates at oxygen and T?

they are one of my favourite bands and i would love to have them at knebworth but due to what neil has been saying about it and how they haven't been announced yet when NIN have... i just can't see it happening anymore

NIN and Jane's are playing the MEN Arena in Manchester and the 02 Arena in London in July.

Face palm me if this has already been said but Dan Carter was on radio1 the other day (in the daytime playing lamb of god weirdly, was awesome!) anyways, he was banging on about festivals and sonisphere and said Janes Addiction were confirmed to play. Pretty conclusive me finks....
