i'm a bit gutted about the streets and mgmt, also pendulum would of been nice again but that's about it.

aren't nme massive fans of the streets? im kinda surprised he's playing V, cos I guess he was asked by reading and leeds and thought maybe that would of been a natural choice. but nevermindddd.

and im happy maximo park and yeah yeah yeahs havent been announced again. i think they will play r/l.

EDIT: also really surprised about Pete doing his solo thing at V. would of thought he would of jumped at the chance to play R/L.

Generally, a lot of the bands announced for T in the Park that are NOT announced for V go on to play Reading as well. For this reason I'm thinking it's likely we will get some of these:

Mars Volta

Mogwai

Foals

Yeah Yeah Yeahs

The Gaslight Anthem

Simian Mobile Disco

Maximo Park

Also, it seems Madness are doing a few festivals around Europe, I reckon they will play, maybe NME headline or top 3 on main.

Gutted that V have got Elbow. I went to see them last night in Sheffield and they were so good. They are the perfect festival band to play when the sun starts to go down. However the post above stating that Gaslight Anthem and Maximo Park are likely to play Leeds/Reading has cheered me up.

Mars Volta, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Maximo would make my weekend!

Other than Radiohead playing, of course...

Shame there's no MGMT, I hoped to be able to see them this year since we couldn't even get in the tent properly last year. I'm actually quite tempted to go to Bestival now as well (proving the 'exclusive' theory right I guess. But I would never resort to V :/).

this may have been a good idea a few years back but now they are competing against more and more festivals so insisting on exclusive only bands seems to have severely restricted reading/leeds this year and that is why we have ended up with arctics and king of leon cos all the other potential headliners are playing other festivals or doing thier own outdoor shows.maybe in the future r/l will have to drop their exclusive rule or risk having a lower quality line up.
