That is stunning. 😍 Well used records too, love to see it. You see some setups and wonder if they've ever actually touched their records, not here!
I did try looking for that same era of Technics seperates on Ebay, and found loads, all claim to be in full working order, all for around £100 for the entire set!!!! I decided against that direction in the end as they're quite big. But they definitely don't make things like they used to.
I plan to put those bookshelf speakers either side of my PC monitors, so they'll make that triangle nicely (although I didn't know that was the ideal thing to do, just luck I guess. 🤣) I will add a small powered sub, down the line, as the wiim also has good crossover / LPF management apparently. I was going to put that under the desk, as there's plenty of extra kick space under these Ikea desks. Does that sound ok, or would it be better elsewhere?
I'm going to cut the reply short here... Because guess what's just arrived (less than 24 hours, for all of their sins, you have to love Amazon delivery.) 😍
Not quite entry level, but a step up from it.
Pro-Ject Debut Carbon

Sony CDP 970 (1990 vintage)
Cambridge Audio DAC - attached to Raspberry Pi for streaming
A pair of Sony speakers from the 90s are not seen.
The angle of the photo hides the snake pit of cables back stage!
I miss HiFi. That many people listen to music out of an Alexa speaker, or their computer speakers is an absolute crime!
