mancunianlegend
I think the foo's would rock it this year! I've seen them twice live before (once at V) and they were superb. I remember reading last year that their new stuff comes out middle of this year and also remember seein this Foo Fighters for Glastonbury 2009? Filed under: Live Foo — fooarchive September 14, 2008 @ 5:26 pm From today’s Independent on Sunday. (September 14th) …Michael Eavis is taking Glasto back to its indie roots for 2009. A West Country mole tells me the Foo Fighters were spotted emerging from Eavis’s Zummerzet farmhouse recently, and I gather they have been signed to headline the Friday night…
pedmills
What's the point in this thread? Its obvious they aren't going to play this year.
popcornmaster
talk about saturation :/ the band went gradually down hill post ' The color and The shape' like peteyboy said what's the point? Optimism and an Efest thread won't get a band there at such a late stage

Bez16
I love the foos too, but they said earlier this year they were taking a year off as they worried everyone in britain was getting sick of them! No danger of that, but they won't be playing glasto
Rachie
foo fighters have got gradually worse live over the last 9 years IMHO. I saw them at leeds 00, and a few times sinse. So nope, i wouldnt be thankful. and im not old btw
laid back in the sun
i often wonder would the foos have got a record deal if it wasnt for dave grohl living off his past glories?
glastofun
The music is characterised by self-parody...no one really takes them serious, do they?

ralph250
I like the foo's, seen them 3 times in pretty much the last 4 years (astoria, acoustic gig at victoria apollo, and werchter), and always really enjoyed them, but I'm in the camp that they've played england too often in recent years and need a break. As for their music, they still produce some good stuff imo (over and out, stranger things have happened, even the pretender), tho overall the albums aren't as consistant as the self titled and colour and the shape.
