Pumped isnt the word, it'd absolutely make my festival. I thought nothing could top last year but if the rumour turns out to be ture It'll amost certainly be just as good or better. I've not had the chance to see them yet, I went to Leeds festi a few years ago and they were supposed to be playing but Jack had broke his finger or summat. Probably making his guitar scream playing ball and biscuit. I'll be staying at , come over and have a few beers and we'll get a good spot for the Stripes if they end up playing.

I don't think it will be Prodigy because the slot is too much for them, I can't see it being Metallica or the White Stripes either, leaving Coldplay the only option out of those mentioned, but I'm hoping for something different

IMO Neil Young is good but not headlining material anyway.

Metallica now back in the frame - reasons........

1. Lars said he wanted to play Glastonbury in 2009 in an interview last year

2. Their webite said they are going to be playing festivals around Europe on there off dates this summer

3. Guess what - they are in Europe and have an off weekend over Glas

4. Will be the best live act ever to take the stage at Glastonbury and I've been going for 20+ years

Surely has as big a claim to be there as fricking Keane, has sold a good bit more than them globally (14m vs 9m - wiki source)

Only reason I can see against it is that Jay Z played last year so they mightnt want back to back hiphop headliners

doubt very much after comments this year that kanye will be on the pyramid. i doubt he'll be playing at all to be honest - though if he did I'd be tempted to go

Faithless has a Saturday/ Sunday gap on the Glasto weekend, although it looks as if they'll be in Ibiza on the Friday.

I've also got to put my two-penneth in for Kasabian - they were fantastic in '07 and I felt a bit sorry for Arctic Monkeys following. LSF echoing into the night would be a fantastic end to Friday. May also suggest why they disappeared from the V Festival rumours suddenly?

Love the Libertines they've had some top tunes, but I really couldn't imagine them headlining the pyramid stage, I just dont think it would go down well, I could be wrong but I would of thought they would be much more suited to a smaller stage, anyway very much doubt they will b there this year anyway.

Think it will be the white strips or coldplay who get the headlinin slot on the Fri, but would so love it if it was Kasabian. Think Oasis made a mistake havin them as support act cos they will wipe the floor with the Oasis set.
