kinglewi
be good fun, they know how to do a good pop song, but iv seen em twice now at festivals and both times they mimed horrifically!

staggerlee
I hate the casual acceptance of Girl Aloud! They are shite. Manufactured, capitalist shite. It's bands like Girls Aloud that make me happy the music business is in turmoil. I can't think of one thing other than the way they look that would make them go down well at Glasto. IMO they should stick to T4 at the beach and never be allowed near Worthy farm.
Breeze
Has there ever been an act miming at Glasto before? If so someone should be shot and if not and they mime THEY should be shot.

staggerlee
Yes, i'm sure there would be a few people who are keen - perhaps a spotty adolescent who can see the big screens from the comfort and, more importantly, privacy of their tent might like the idea? hogga
Unfortunately girls are allowed at Glastonbury. The only sanctuary left I can find is my local golf club. Taxi
podge52
I 'd like to stand right at the front so i could look up their very short skirts cos its all they good for. Cant sing, cant dance, cant write music/lyrics but they do look good so stick ear plugs in stand at the front and look upwards. My missus would go f****** mental if she caught me. russycarps
I love them and pray they will be there. In fact, I have slipped on a nodder already so I avoid having any accidents in my shorts. Their music is utter utter utter shite though, natch
Wanderlei
They're honest, at least. I know of a lot of "credible" acts that churn out pretentious lyrics and think they're the bees' knees. IMO they rank lower than a manufactured pop band who are self-aware.

bombfrog
Can anyone actually give a better example of a pop band in the last 10 years? If so I'm all years. They wouldn't have to mime at all, they are all very good singers (say what you like about reality TV shows, they do at least ensure that the winners can sing live). They also have the best writing team currently working in the industry and songs like "The Promise" stand up against some of the best pop songs ever written. Can sing well live? - Check Great pop songs? - Check Easy on the eye? - Check If you don't like pop music then that's fine, but if you're going to be snobbish about pop music in general then there are much more worthy targets than Girls Aloud.
