i hopefully (waiting on confirmation) have 4 tickets for yellow campsite at chelmsford, is it really as bad as everyone makes out?! i hope not!

We have been going to yellow for the last few years by choice. More space and slightly cleaner toilets. never had any problems.

yellow was miles better than red last year. better atmosphere, shorter walk to the arena, and cleaner toilets.

see everyone keeps saying yellow is MILES away and in some farmers field or something. im sure ill have a good time regardless, just listening to what people are saying they make it sound like the worst place on earth!

I was in yellow last year (red the year before) - I think they changed the yellow campsite last year and it was definitely a shorter walker to the arena. it is a little quieter/less rowdier than red, but I presume that's just because it is smaller than red. Red did have a BARBARBAR in 2007 but then you can take all the drink you like into the campsite anyway (not into the arena tho!)

it used to be miles away, cept they changed the layout last year and it was infact closer then red. so dw

It used to be miles away in 2004, but since 2005 it has been moved much closer. It's a max 10 minute walk from the gates at the yellow camp-site to the gates of the main arena. It used to be run independently by Montpelliers farm, but now V are running it, so it's just like any other campsite.

Like people have said already, it has its advantages over red, as the toilets are cleaner, and there's much more space, so you can throw a frisbee or kick a ball about if you have some time to kill.

On the downside, it lacks a bit of the atmosphere of red, but you can still meet some people and have a laugh. I've stayed at Yellow every time, and really enjoyed it.
