Has anyone ever stayed at the Glastonbury Backpackers?

Me and Mr P&P are thinking of staying there on the Tuesday night before the festival - we like to be on site early on the Wednesday but he's not madly keen about leaving Oxford at 4am like in previous years - quite understandably... :D

But the website is a bit rubbish and I've heard 'mixed' reviews. Anyone got any input? Or, indeed, any other recommendations for budget B&B / hostel accommodation in Glastonbury / Shepton / that kind of area?

It is a filthy disgusting hovel of a place to stay. I paid £40 quid last year and I knew it was a hostel and wasn't expecting a 5* hotel however, the sheets were filthy wooly blankets with stains, the carpets were filthy and the sink had a load of grime in it and the mirror and window was obviously "cleaned" with a dirty cloth because you could actually see the dirt smears.

I ended up sleeping on top of the bed with a coat thrown over me, there was no way I would get in that bed!
