Pearl Jam?

wouldn't say they were too heavy, no more than muse for instance, tho it might take eavis some convincing due to them being the band playing at the time of the roskilde tragedy.

roskilde was mainly due to speaker faults making everyone push forward to hear (so could've happened to any band really), but the stigma might still be hard to push.

Also If they were to play, I'd expect them to play the same day as Young (if Young is still playing), and autumndaze who claims to work for the bank that's providing a conciege service for Young so procuring hotels/travel etc in europe claims Young's playing sunday. If that's true, then pearl jam wouldn't fit due to blur.

If Pearl Jam and Young were to play the same festival I'd be pretty surprised if they played seperate days personally.

Pearl Jam with NY? They were his backing band on Mirrorball, so not unlikely.

You have no idea how much I would love this to happen. I've seen them twice so far and they the best band I've seen live by a long way.

I think they would go down a storm at Glasto and they certainly aren't too heavy, plus I don't think ME would shy away from them after Roskilde as what happened there was down to security and poor comunication by the organisers and nothing to do with the band, plus they've done quite a few festivals over the past few years so that would put ME's mind at ease.

I can't see them demanding to play in a particular slot either they really don't have any ego when it comes to things like that and the feeling that comes across is that they just love to play and don't care where they do it. They've done quite a few festivals and support slots over the past fews years where they haven't been given top billing so I couldn't see them insisting on headlining. I also don't see it being a problem for them playing on a different day to NY either, I think if they were on the same day they would do something together but I can't see them insisting on it.

Sadly I though I can't see it happening, they are working on a new album at the moment and the rumours are for a tour either later this year or early next year so it might be too soon. My bet would be some European festivals next year but I can't see them doing Reading & Leeds again soon.

I think Eavis said he tried to book them for '07, so they're not too heavy per se.

But this would be incredibly unlikely I think, PJ are in the studio at the minute and have no touring plans for early summer at the moment. there new album is also not due out until at least september.
