disasterplan44
Has anyone else started having dreams about Glastonbury yet? I had my first last night, so I thought I'd start the topic. I was at an airport hotel in Germany and had a bit of a race against time to catch my flight (with Lufthansa, I can remember that much) to the festival, and for some reason I was sharing a taxi in Germany with my dad right up until the handle on my suitcase broke. I am pretty sure the airport was in Pilton itself or something. I can't remember getting in, but I know I got there on the Wednesday (I'm not a retard) and sitting in a fairly small field with my younger brother and sister to watch Madness. They were crap compared to their LV set in 2007 but I told my younger siblings not to worry, as the headliner we were about to get would either be Coldplay or Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. I even explained the rationale behind it not being NY himself. What I like about this bit is that the headliner was still a secret right up until they came on stage. No, I don't remember seeing who the headliner was. The ending was a bit crap. I left sometime on the Saturday - I don't know why - and was catching a taxi (without taking any of my stuff) around the side of the site and suddenly realised I hadn't been given a programme or a wristband. I made the taxi driver let me out so I could go back in (?!) and get them. I woke up before I found out if they'd let me back in.

glasto_mongrel_2008
This has just spooked me. I was gonna post this cause I had a rate semi lucid dream about Glasto last night. All the people from last year and I were on an old green coach and arrived in a wooded area at Glasto (Twice for some odd reason) Then all my mates who I go to football with turned up and we were walking through Glasto to the match. When we got there, there was a huge artificial beach complete with sea and sunbathers. It was enclosed by big curved walls and people were skateboarding round it. What was really freaky though is that a guy fell off and started crying and it was toad off that new Clint Eastwood film, Gran Torino! It felt semi lucid too. I enjoyed it though, just wish I didn't have to get up for Flamin' work!
Breeze
Had my first one in years the other night. Basically in the dream a bunch of us went to Glasto, but when I got back I couldn't remember anything whatsoever about the festival. It sounds a bit familiar - there's a lesson in there for me I'm sure.
Chimps in Balaclavas
I have Glasto dreams, they are all different but usually involve Amsterdam & Birkenhead Market ... weird.
K8P
I had a nightmare the other night that my mother couldn't look after my kids but decided to look after some stranger's kids. This did wake me up so it was quite a relief when I realised it was only a dream, PHEW!!! I do have dreams about Glasto throughout the year. The most reaccuring one is that I am walking towards the stone circle, the festival isn't on but there are people milling about and ME and E are riding horses towards me, we stop and talk then it seems to change, then I am on some secret mission. Why and what for I really don't know. It's all a bit bizzare.

hazey_jane
I always dream that I've forgotten to go and watch any acts and it's Sunday afternoon and I try and cram the whole experience in to 3 hours.

flibbitybob
Glastonbury features in a lot of my dreams in some way... but in the first one I've had this year where I actually was AT the festival in my dream, it was raining and I was running for ages to get to John Peel for cover, and then it was suddenly the monday morning and I cried because I hadn't danced with the Hare Krishnas. And then when I woke I was actually crying and was genuinely upset until I realised that it hasn't happened yet...
nina3d
I too have Glasto dreams all year - although it rarely looks or is like Glastonbury, but it is, if you know what I mean. Last night's was scary though. I was on my way from the carparks and I went off the path onto what I thought was mud but it was actually a bog and I was sinking. A girl was closeby but on her mobile chatting, and despite my yelps didn't seem to realise the urgency of my situation (I was up to my chest by this time ). I woke up when some other people dragged me out. Wierd how you never actually die in your dreams...
grumpyhack
I just have a recurring nightmare that there's been some ticket cock up and mine doesn't arrive. The sweats only end when the postman calls.
shedder
I dreamed that they'd seperated all the campsites into squares when you entered you were given a grid reference and were only allowed to camp within your allocated square. I was panicing because i wanted to meet up with the people i'd camped with the year before but they wouldn't let me

amfy
My Glastonbury dreams always used to be quite dark (colour and mood) and I was always camped in a part of the site that diesn't exist in real life. I would somehow end up outside the site, and spend the whole dream trying to find my way back in. I always missed whatever it was I wanted to see. More recently, my Glastonbury dreams are always light and sunny, I am wandering in familiar places and feeling relaxed and happy. I'm trying to decide whether the change is because it's easier to get tickets, because it was sunny last year, or is it just that I've stopped the drugs!
