Hi

How many of you know about the FREE 24hr property lockup service. We look after anything so long as it fits into our huge marquees and is inanimate ( that doesn't include your comotose mate). There are 14 large white marquees displaying a black keyhole logo around the site and we look after anything from cash to rucksacks, ipods to bikes for the whole festival or briefly whilst you find a pitch. They are marked on your map and there is a very handy one at Pedestrian Gate A where you get dropped to get in if you come by public transport.

if you lose your ticket what happens? Im less likely to lose my camera than a ticket. :)

Ahhh just notice...address. not so concerned now. Im not talking rucksacks im talking hundreds of pounds worth of photographic equipment.

Quite a few people leave expensive DSLRs in the lock-ups, worth many thousands! :)

I was thinking about this last night, I guess the lock-up is not insured, and I think they disclaim any liability for loss or damage?

Not taking my DSLR, but if I did, I'd have to check my insurance to see what was covered. I might only cover if the camera was on me.

The lock-ups are seriously useful, and the volunteers that run then work really hard to keep them running 24/7 for the whole week.

I quite often bung my rucksack and trolley in there on Wednesday morning (as they take up too much space in my dinky tent) and just get them back on Sunday afternoon ready to pack.

I know some people stash all of their cash (safely wrapped in a bag) in the lockups and then pop in each morning to get out what they need for the day - saves queueing at the cashpoint and you don't need to worry about having all your money on you at once!

Careful, the thread's nearly turned into camera pr0n <_<

Good idea about dumping the rucksack and just wandering with your tent when you arrive on Wednesday. Thanks for that :D

And top marks to those who man the tents, thanks very much.
