can you go off site during weekend if your camping?

newbie to v just wondering once u have settled in can you go offsite at all and come back in again or do you have 2 stay onsite for the weekend till u leave?

Yeah, you can. But there's nothing much around. We went with no beer a couple of years ago, ended up setting up our tent and went out of the site for a walk to see if we could find an offy somewhere close. There isn't anywhere selling beer within walking distance. All we found was a really friendly tack/grocery shop about a mile and a half up the road who's daughter very kindly offered to pick a couple of crates up for us when she was going to Asda later that afternoon. We walked back to the site, chilled out for the afternoon and she rang up that evening to say would we like to go and pick said beer up. Didn't even want any extra money for doing it for us, although we gave her an extra tenner anyway.
