How long would ice last in a cool box

I fancy taking some single malt this year (yes, I know) and also Vodka (again, 3 litre bottles last year). I would love it if I could take along a load of ice bags in a cool box but am wondering how long they would last before it turned to a box of water? Has anyone with camping/caravaning experience tried this at a festival yet? Nothing worse than waking up at 6am with a blinding hangover to pour yourself a lukewarm quadrouple vodka and coke.

Depends on the coolbox really

The big one we have (48ltr) works really well and can keep ice frozen for 3 days if kept in the shade and is packed well.

Also depends on the weather too unfortunately, warmer it is the less they will last.

Use cool blocks in the coolbox too, these help. Also where you travelling from? Pack the coolbox before leaving, and stop for fresh ice when you get to Inverness.

Fortunately I'm only 40 minutes away from the event. I think I'll stock up on the cool blocks (I know the ones you mean) and get the packs of ready made ice from Tesco in Inverness. I'd be happy if they last me the Friday night, after that, I won't be caring too much what happens, hehe! Probably wearing the box as a hat by Sat morning.
